Rudy Giuliani's Mounting Legal Problems Could Lead Him To Flip Against Trump
Published at : October 13, 2021
According to legal experts, Rudy Giuliani is in such dire legal straits right now that he may end up with no choice but to flip on Donald Trump. The only question is whether or not Rudy actually has anything of value to tell investigators? Several of the legal problems that Giuliani is facing have nothing to do with Trump, or at least they couldn't lead to any indictments or subsequent lawsuits against the former President. So is he really a threat to the former President? Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains why it might not be as crystal clear as we'd like.

A new report by New York magazine says that Rudy Giuliani is in so much legal trouble, not just with the criminal investigations, but the civil lawsuits against him. He's facing possible disbarment right now. So he has got legal problems just everywhere you turn. This guy is not looking good. So legal experts that spoke to New York magazine are now predicting that because he's in such legal dire straights, he may end up flipping on Donald Trump. The only question I have and unfortunately it was not really raised in the article is, um, flip on what, right? Look, I would love nothing more than for everybody that's ever been involved with Donald Trump to flip on the guy, to tell us everything we need to know. If it relates to criminal activity, I don't need to know, you know, Stormy Daniels type stuff. I don't need to know that he's a bad person because I already know that, criminal stuff though.
So Rudy, what could you possibly have? And the reason I bring this up is because he's not involved in the same investigations that Trump is. So what could he possibly have? You know, in the disbarment that he is facing, how's he gonna flip on Trump? How's that going to save him from that? You know, in the civil lawsuits, dominion voting system hits him for 1.3 million, billion, excuse me, 1.3 billion. How are you going to flip on Trump? If Trump hasn't publicly made statements about dominion voting systems, which though he has, there's nothing you can do. Not to mention that's a civil suit. And if dominion wants to go after Trump, they'll go after him separately and still go after you. You're not getting out of that one. So there's that. The only possible thing I can think of is the possibly acting as an unregistered foreign agent on behalf of Ukraine.
Which, you know, by all measures, he likely did at Donald Trump's behest. So sure that might be able to land Trump in a little bit of legal problems, but really not even that much, because that issue, you know, was kind of flushed out during the first impeachment trial and hearing. So, you know, he was already acquitted for that in the Senate. Not that he couldn't be, you know, tried in an actual court for it. But at the same time, that's relatively small potatoes. So could Rudy Giuliani flip on Trump? I think in that particular instance, sure, sure. If you've got documents, if you've got whatever, let us have them. But is it going to lead to anything meaningful? Absolutely not. Does Giuliani in any of the other legal problems he's facing have stuff to flip on Trump about? Maybe he does, but that's not going to do anything to save him.
So while this article was sensationalistic and I know talking about people flipping on Trump is going to get a lot of views and everything for the New Yorker and I want people to understand that, that, that's not a thing that's going to happen. And we know that because Trump is clearly not worried about Giuliani flipping on him. If he were he'd be paying his legal bills, which he's refused to do. If he were afraid of Giuliani, he would still be taking his phone calls, which he refuses to. He has cut Giuliani out of his life because that is how insignificant this man is.
